More than 10 years ago, Rutherford’s Director Jonathan Skerrett decided to take the plunge and start his own recruitment business, with a focus on the compliance sector within financial services.

He officially founded Rutherford in his kitchen in South West London in 2010. For the next year, he concentrated his efforts on building a strong network of clients and candidates, proving along the way the deep market knowledge he - and the business - had.

What used to be a one-person band has now grown into a successful boutique recruitment firm of nearly 20 people, covering multiple sectors from compliance to cyber security to risk, with ambitious growth plans and a strong and expert team of genuinely kind people.
